Nissan recalls 1,047 Teana cars in Russia
MOSCOW, Dec 23 (PRIME) -- Nissan Manufacturing Rus will recall 1,047 Nissan Teana sold in Russia from January 24, 2014 through October 12, 2015 due to possible problems with gasoline leaks, the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology said in a statement Wednesday.
The cars have profiled E–rings on the gas tank sold by a third-party vendor and their size differs from the size defined by technical documentation, which may lead to leaks of gasoline, the agency said.
Under the recall compaign, Nissan will install additional sealing to ensure air-tightness of the fuel tank, the agency added.
